ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS:


Thank you for choosing a property offered by Purple Housing as your new home. In order to make the application process easier, please follow the directions below. WHEN MULTIPLE APPLICANTS APPLY FOR A PROPERTY, EACH APPLICANT IS EVALUATED SEPARATELY AND EACH MUST MEET THE QUALIFYING CRITERIA. The Property Owner(s) have the right of final approval of applications.


Each prospective tenant and occupant 18 years of age or older must submit a separate application (including each spouse if married). Cosigners and Guarantors must also submit a complete application.


The following Application Agreement will be signed by all applicants prior to signing a lease contract. While some of the information below may not yet be applicable to your situation, some provisions may become applicable prior to signing a lease contract. In order to continue with this online application, you will need to review the Application Agreement carefully and acknowledge that you accept its terms.


1. Application Fee: With your application, you must submit the nonrefundable application fee listed below for EACH APPLICANT and cosigner except that only one application fee is required for married couples. This fee may be paid WITH A CASHIER’S CHECK, MONEY ORDER, CERTIFIED CHECK, OR CREDIT CARD THROUGH OUR ONLINE APPLICATION. NO PERSONAL CHECKS OR CASH for the nonrefundable application fee. If you pay online with a credit card, $5 service fee per transaction will be assessed. We cannot process any applications until we have the funds in our office.


2. Application Deposit: If you want to have the property taken off the market for lease and held exclusively for you after you have been approved, you may do so by submitting an application deposit in CERTIFIED FUNDS in the amount of one month’s lease amount with your application. Otherwise, the property will continue to be marketed until you have executed a lease agreement. The application deposit is not a security deposit. However, it will be credited toward the required security deposit when the Lease Contract has been signed by all parties. If you are not approved, it will be refunded. If you are approved, it may be retained by us as liquidated damages if you fail to sign the lease within 3 days of application approval or withdraw your application.


3. Notification: We will notify you whether you’ve been approved within 7 days after the date we receive a completed Application. Any notice we give you or your co-applicant is considered notice to all co-applicants, and any notice from you or your co-applicant is considered notice from all co-applicants.


Our receipt of this application is consent only to this application agreement. It does not bind us to accept the applicant or to sign the proposed Lease Contract.
